Sean McConville and Stéphanie Joalland created FRENZY FILMS to produce the kind of elevated genre movies they love to watch: THE WITCH, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, EX MACHINA, UNDER THE SKIN, BLUE RUIN, IT COMES AT NIGHT, IT FOLLOWS, and THE BABADOOK being great examples.

Inspired by their UCLA Film education, they produce contained genre films combining the character-driven art-house sensibilities of European cinema with U.S. style plot-driven genre storytelling. Their latest film, THE QUIET HOUR, a sci-fi thriller starring Dakota Blue Richards and Karl Davies, premiered at Galway Film Fleadh, was nominated Best British Film at Raindance Film Festival, won Best Film at Kansas City Film Fest, sold to Sky Cinema in the UK, Amazon Prime in the U.S., and was sold by international sales agent Vision Films around the world.

Sean and Stéphanie were recently guests on the Filmmakers Podcast to discuss their upcoming production of THE LAST MOON.
